    What's cool is how close your concept came so close to Midsummer, but yet so different. Gives great options for fans of Fables and Fairy Tales.

    Didn't know about that game, honestly. But yes, I think there's a common background; the differences might be simply due to the fact that my other main source is the "Redwall" saga. Thank you!

  • A first glimpse through the Spellbook (and, yes, there will be Dragons, Bats and Hares in game, but only available to the people who playtest it: https://www.box.com/s/i2p7fe20h9tfau6kq9cg) and the final Godfather Themebook (https://www.box.com/s/dg2905bjyo1qb5sof5kj)!

  • Mike, have you thought about play testing this over google hangouts? If so, keep me in mind.

    Well, when everything will be ready, I'll surely run some playtests, hopefully even some blind ones, so yes, I'll do it. :)

  • And now the Runaway Bride: https://www.box.com/s/1y73obchqd4jk8zuh9ys
    And the Bewitched: https://www.box.com/s/jqpkys34y4w4grmz76mf
    Now, I have a total of 5 ready Themebooks. Thus, these are available to be tested in a blind playtest; who is willing to participate? I remember to any prospective player that testers will receive bonus booklets.

    If you do run that google hangout playtest for these I am totally in depending on what time is chosen.

  • After a fruitful discussion on the project's G+ page, I will add a section in the final version of the game detailing what might be a very important aspect of the game: Animals.
    Since Redwall, which is one of the game main sources of inspiration, uses anthropomorphic animals as characters, I kept it. I liked the idea, anyway, but I also acknowledge that not all prospective players might like it as I do. So, in order to mitigate possible negative aspects of the thing, I want to add the possibility to change it to totems, clans and so on, so that basically you still play it with human-like characters. Animals, in fact, are just archetypes: Wolves represent command and order, Foxes sexuality, innocence and wit, Badgers calm and hardness, Dogs loyalty, grudge and faith, and so on.

  • It took a while, due to another period of high workload, but now I'm back and I'm bringing you the Bearer: https://www.box.com/s/yde968fntlat86baoctj
    One last Themebook and the playtest pack will be ready!

  • Dear all,
    As stated in a different thread, I continued working on this game, which now has grown quite a little and has taken a slightly different path. To start, I had to change its name due to potential copyright issues, and I'm sharing the alpha release here.
    I'd love to have your opinions about it! They'd help me finishing the ruleset before finishing fleshing out the handbook.

  • I have uploaded an artbook which can be used to better understand the fictionary world in which action will take place in this game - and, also, to leave a statement regarding inclusivity in RPG artwork.

    I like all the pictures and most of their relations to texts. Why not make pay for them ?

    Thanks! Well, for a variety of reasons:
    A) because I'm just an amateur and I don't feel it would be fair to make people pay for my work;
    B) because I know how it feels not having the necessary budget to buy a game you like (it's the same for me), so I think that I can be more helpful by providing people with free things to play with;
    C) because the game is still in development and it won't be fair, IMHO, to make people pay for something that is going to change a lot in a couple of months.

  • I updated the playtest material for the game. Everything should be much smoother, and I also added several gameplay examples. You can find the material here, if you're interested: https://starfishgames.itch.io/misty-willows-rpg
