The second HFL game I had at InterNosCon'10 was the official event, which happened just after lunch. This time we built a custom Frame
Frame: Zombie Apocalypse Prologue: Earth 2030, a bio-virus turned 99% of humanity into raging beasts (28 Days Later style); the infection is curable at all stages, but the ways to mass-produce and deliver the cure are lost (or are they?) Adversary: the infected population Gore Threshold: 6
Connection: we got kicked out from Vault-13 because we got infected Drop-Off: the cave where the entrance of V13 is located, deep in Nevada territory Destination: the lab that was "ground zero" for the infection, near the North Pole Checkpoint 1) steal a submarine from New York bay-area Checkpoint 2) destroy Manhattan to turn-off a water-blockade built by a local warlord Checkpoint 3) get past the automated security-system of the underwater lab
"Faceman" (like the one in A-Team), the coward fixer who knows how to negotiate John, the negligent doctor who knows how to save lives "Hummer", the abusive driver(girl) who knows how to repair mechanical stuff Malcom, the arrogant man with a plan who knows about tactic
We only used 12 Felony Ranks, but everyone except for Faceman used up their Talent. We managed to get to the Finale in pretty good shape, thanks to some double-hits and the Checkpoint rewards ... then we had a cruel Deathmatch >:D Faceman was dissolved in acid, John died pumped full of toxic chemicals... and in the end Malcom and Hummer were left alone, battling with vicious melee weapons in the lower level of the underwater lab ... in the end Hummer died placing the 14th die on the Heat, and getting chopped in half by a giant bone-saw.
Some highlights... - surfacing from Vault-13 *_* - ending up in a A-Team-like group of zombie-killing people XD - tossing an innocent girl at a Licker as bait, then blow them both up in an inferno of flames while escaping on a submarine :D
Tazio Bettin (yes, the Tazio Bettin) was playing and sent me some artwork inspired by the game. I've since incorporated it into the latest proof. Thanks Tazio and Alessandro!
